  11. Karn Sharma

Starting from the openers, the form that Ruturaj Gaikwad took from the last 3 matches of Dream 11 IPL 2020, was insane, which surely makes his place in the opening place of CSK's line up. With him, there lies a hub of experience in the form of Ambati Rayudu, who has consistently performed for CSK in every season as his role of opener. The reason why Robin Uthappa hasn't been chosen is because of his poor form in the previous couple of seasons. But he brings with him a vast experience and skill as well, which can be considered as an alternative to the opener's place at times of poor performance of Gaikwad and Rayudu.

The middle order of CSK in this season has surely strengthened with the revival of Suresh Raina, the most dependable batsman of Chennai since its inception. Number 3,4 and 5 batsman are very prone to spinners as they have to defend the middle overs with an attacking mindset. Here comes the benefits of having such great spin players in the form of Faf Du Plessis and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Both of them have the capability to ruin the opponent bowling attack till the end of the innings, which they have proved at many instances. Dhoni, doesn't only contributes with his batting, but also with his majestic wicket-keeping and captaincy.

CSK, this time, is having one of the best all rounders of Vivo IPL 2021. The acquisition of Moeen Ali in the mini auction, will certainly be meritorious for CSK. Moeen Ali, being a world class batsman, also brings in the perfect option of off spin, which was much needed for CSK. Dwayne Bravo has been the best allrounder of IPL at all times. His deathly bowling in the death overs proves to be a bane for the opponent team. Also he has shown his batting strengths in previous few seasons. Now, including Jadeja in the squad opens up all options - be it bowling, batting or fielding. Jadeja has the mastery of all skills. Also, it'll be very interesting to see how captain Dhoni introduces Sam Curran in the CSKian squad, after Sam's amazing performance last season. Predictively, Sam Curran can take place of Dwayne Bravo.

Deepak Chahar has been fabulous in the last 4 years with his swing bowling, which makes his place permanent in any squad. With the joining of Josh Hazlewood in the bowling attack, CSK will get an Australian touch and experience of swing, certainly beneficial for youngsters like Chahar and Shardul Thakur. And the inclusion of Karn Sharma gives Dhoni the option of a chinaman bowler, who can take out wickets at crucial moments of the match. However we'll certainly see some constant replacements like Lungi Ngidi and Shardul Thakur.
